Ajak Deng, originally from South Sudan, moved to Melbourne in 2005. She was scouted by director, Stephen Bucknall, whilst she was still in high school.
Having signed with FRM in 2008, Ajak was soon seen on Australian catwalks. Ajak featured in Sydney and Melbourne fashion weeks and for David Jones.
In the first 18 months of modeling Ajak was seen in campaigns for Davenport, Lulu Lemon, Mimco and Bardot.
In 2011, FRM booked Ajak for Australian Vogue via agency director Stephen Bucknall.
FRM director Stephen then placed her with IMG New York, London, Paris and Milan. Ajak's career has since gone forward in leaps and bounds.
Ajak now spends most of her time in the Northern Hemisphere.
Internationally Ajak has shot campaigns for United Colours of Benetton, Top Shop, MAC Cosmetics, Louis Vuitton, Banana Republic, Kenzo, Levi's and Kate Spade.
She has also featured on the runway for Givenchy, Lanvin, Chloe, Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino and continues to walk around the world.
In addition to the aforementioned, she has featured in magazines such as i-D magazine, American Vogue, Russian Vogue and Italian Vogue.
